Here we go again! The upcoming Toyota Land Cruiser is being officially teased by Toyota USA. The company releases two images today of the upcoming new Land Cruiser next to the original. The company also points out that this vehicle has 65 years of history and heritage to build on.
The dark profile of the new Land Cruiser of this U.S-spec SUV is a lot like the recently unveiled 2024 Lexus GX 550. What will be under the hood of the upcoming Land Cruiser in the United States? I am guessing it will be the same 3.4-liter twin-turbo gas V6 that is under the hood of the new Toyota Tundra and the Lexus GX. It may have slightly different tuning, but I think the V6 will be in there.
The new turbocharged I4 (four-cylinder) is being used in the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma. There is also a 2.4-liter I4 Turbo-electric hybrid Tacoma. I am guessing this smaller powertrain will be available under the hood of the upcoming 2025+ Toyota 4Runner.
