
The elusive Ford Ranger Raptor finally comes to the United States as a 2024 model. It’s bonkers! In simple terms, Ford waved a wand and shrunk the F-150 Raptor by about 10% to create the new Ranger Raptor midsize off-road pickup truck. Take a look!
The U.S.-spec 2024 Ranger Raptor is about 3.5 inches wider than a standard new Ranger. It has a higher stance and unique suspension with FOX 2.5 Live Valve shocks. The truck has Raptor-specific a-arm front independent suspension components and a unique Watts link rear solid axle arrangement with coil-over shocks in the rear.
The truck is rolling on new 33-inch BFGoodrich KO3 all-terrain tires. As far as we can tell, this is the first production vehicle to use the new KO3 AT tires. For increased traction and off-road performance, the Ranger Raptor offers front and rear locking differentials, 2WD/4Auto/4Hi/4Lo transfer case, a Trail Control system, and Trail turn assist.






Under the hood is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic. The interior is Raptor-specific with bolstered front seats and Code Orange trim throughout.
The only odd thing is – the Ranger Raptor does not come with three amber maker lights in its grille. This has become a Raptor vehicle signature over the years, so a Raptor truck without it seems odd indeed. The truck is not wide enough to require additional marker lights by law.
