Taming Tumbleweed hits a new milestone!

Over the past few months, we’ve covered quite a few big changes to Tumbleweed Ranch — and this is one of the biggest leaps yet. From the outset, the team’s planned to build out a barn on the property, both to store vehicles and use it as a new TFL studio. In this episode of Taming Tumbleweed below, you’ll get a behind the scenes look at just how the process of building this barn plays out, with David taking point and chatting with Sean from Morton Buildings.

This 48-foot by 78-foot pole barn took just a few weeks to complete, with the guys documenting each step of the construction process. Today, the barn is nearly complete. David and Tommy go through the thought process behind the barn’s design, why we went with certain ideas (and not with others, like adding in more windows or doors) – all of which you can learn more about below.

David also addresses a couple big questions: How much would it cost and how long would it take if you were to build this yourself? That all depends, of course, but going through Morton Buildings brings in a premium, both to source the materials and building processes as well as the labor involved.

Here’s how it all went!
