On September 8th, we will experience the Jeep 4xe day, but we only have a few tidbits of information to work on so far.
Feast your eyes on Jeep’s Twitter account and bask in the glory that is “4xe Day”. The automaker’s recent announcement gives us a few hints about what to expect for the Jeep 4xe day. We Studied some of the images, and looked at the wording, which is playing into Stellantis’ PR hands. Still, we know how important this product showcase could be for many fans.

Jeep seems to indicate that the upcoming presentation may have more than a new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Naturally, we expect to see an expansion of 4xe-branded plug-in hybrid models over the coming years. In Stellantis’ phased approach to fully electric cars, the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler 4xe models have been a stepping-stone. It stands to reason we’ll see further expansion on that front soon, before Jeep aggressively transitions toward EVs by the end of the decade.
‘”The Jeep brand is accelerating toward Zero Emission Freedom and will make a series of announcements on its electrification plans during the upcoming Jeep Brand 4xe Day.”
Stellantis

Another model we think Jeep will shed some more light on is this Jeep EV concept. This sub-Renegade SUV emerged back in March. Judging by its low front overhang and ground clearance, it’s not meant for bashing out the Rubicon Trail, but it could hide some surprises.
We will know a lot more soon! Stay tuned tomorrow, September 7 at 8 AM ET for more details.
