The all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV makes its official world debut. It’s a battery-electric pickup truck that is built on the Ultium platform that also underpins the GMC Hummer EV truck and SUV. It’s a dual-motor e4WD platform with up to 664 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. The Silverado EV’s maximum driving range is set at 400 miles.

Chevrolet released several more images of the upcoming Electric Silverado Trail Boss. Here they are.

There is more!

Chevrolet also says that a Trail Boss off-road version of the Silverado EV is also coming! We do not know much more about the Trail Boss version of the truck at this time. The images of the blue truck you see here are of an RST First Edition model.

If you look closely, the new electric truck has 8-lug wheels. This is because it has a large 24-pack battery with an estimated 200 kWh capacity. This battery pack and the chassis that surrounds it have a lot of weight. The 2022 GMC Hummer EV truck has a curb weight of around 9,000 lbs. We do not know the curb weight of the Silverado EV yet, but it will be in the HD truck territory with an estimated and unofficial GVWR between 8,500-10,500 lbs.

The Silverado EV pricing starts at $39,900 for a basic Work Truck version before destination charges. It will be available to fleet customers in the Spring of 2023. The fully-optioned RST First Edition will retail at $105,000. It will come to market in the Fall of 2023.

Chevrolet says that other versions of the electric Silverado, such as the Trail Boss, will have different price levels between $50K-$80K.
