Among the big winners at the 2022 Dakar Rally, Nasser Al-Attiyah moves from his earned “Prince of the Desert” to “King of the desert” with his fourth win.

Winning in 2011, 2015, 2019 and now 2022, Nasser Al-Attiyah, and navigator Mathieu Baumel, fought tooth and nail against Sébastien Loeb, winning the 2022 Dakar Rally. Piloting his Toyota Gazoo Racing, Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1+, Al-Attiyah managed to stave off the hyper-advanced Audi team, and the second place Bahrain Raid Xtreme piloted by Loeb. In fact, Loeb came within 30 mins of winning the Dakar – pushing Al-Attiyah all the way. The Audis suffered with navigation and mechanical issues, and didn’t make the top 10.
