Big & classic trucks proliferated the 2021 Overland Expo in Flagstaff, Arizona!

Roman found a bunch of big and classic trucks at the 2021 Overland Expo Flagstaff, along with tons of cool outdoor displays and fans. During his meandering journey around the evet (the video is over 50-minutes… so a lot of walking) Roman muses about interesting details. We see a mixture of campers, overland rigs and accessories. Roman tries not to linger on build-vehicles that we’ve already featured.

One of the highlights comes in after about six-minutes, when Roman finds out a few details about the Black Series Campers – which we did cover in the past. Now it’s Roman’s turn. The Black Series Campers we’ve all seen in the past are great looking rigs, but there are two sets of fans out there. One group thinks they are rugged, and make for a good value. Another group says they are poorly put-together, and they are off balance for off-roading.

Roman tours a few units with a sales-rep, which is just long enough to give you an idea about the company. As we have yet to test any of their models, we don’t know how they’ll perform – so, we’ll keep an open mind until then. We may look deeper into the camper builder in the near future.

After that, Roman continues his sojourn before finding a sweet 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser (his favorite) with a beautiful setup. Chris, the owner of the big Toyota, takes Roman of a detailed tour of his ride. It’s epic, but almost too good looking to get dirty.

After an additional minute of walking, Roman finds a fascinating take on a utility trailer. Based in Texas, F8 Trailers takes the bed of a current pickup truck (in this case, a current Silverado) and goes nuts. Building a custom frame, F8 Trailers builds unique vehicle that starts at about $11,000 – before accessories.

Lots of trailers, but what about big & classic trucks?

Worry not! Roman stumbles upon lots of awesome trucks, including a few big & classic trucks like old-school Land Rovers, Jeeps and more! Over the past few years, we’ve seen more and more people spending a ton of dinero on restoring old/classic trucks. Usually, making them better-than-new.

This trend is rather apparent when you see some of classic vehicles at the even as Roman strols. In some cases, some spend about the same amount of money for a full restoration as they would on a new off-roader. In other cases, we’ve see blow through hundreds of thousands of dollars building their classic rig up.

After several other encounters, Roman ends up at Expedition Portal, looking for his onX friend, Scott. Check out this video to follow our man Roman through the event!
