Sitting between the Polaris RZR and workhorse Polaris Ranger, the Polaris General is finally getting some factory love.

Representing one of their most popular vehicles, the Polaris General has been lauded for its fun, utility and flexibility. Now, the UTV builder is providing some sweet factory upgrades for their popular side-by-side. The base model, two-door Polaris Ranger Sport starts at $16,299, and can exceed $25,699 for the four-door XP 4 1000 Deluxe.

This particular model comes with the 999-cc, 100 horsepower engine, coupled to a continuously variable transmission and an aggressive four-wheel-drive system. Nowhere near as massive as a Polaris RZR, the two-door General measures 118.2 x 64 x 75 inches.

The Polaris General XP 1000 Factory Custom featured in this video is priced at $26,499. Loaded with accessories, the factory custom is about a $1,000 premium.

According to Polaris, this is what you get for $1,000 with the Factory Custom package:

  • New Pro Armor HEXLR Beadlock Wheels
  • 11″ Pro Armor Light Bar
  • New Stitched Race-Inspired Steering Wheel
  • Brand new Custom Seats with Embroidered Badging
  • New Color-Match Low-Profile Sport Bumper
  • RIDE COMMAND + Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 Audio System
  • Class-Leading 100 Horsepower
  • Class-Leading 13.5″ Ground Clearance
  • High Clearance A-Arms
  • Walker Evans Velocity Series Shocks
  • 30″ Pro Armor Crawler XG Tires
  • 4,500 lb Polaris HD Winch
  • Poly Sport Roof
  • Convex Rear-View Mirror

The aforementioned upgrades are (mostly) for fun. Still, you have to remember that the Polaris General is built for hard work too. As such, it is equipped with a small dump bed (slightly smaller than the Ranger) that can hold about 600-lbs. The vehicle has a maximum of 1,100 lbs payload, based on trim. It also comes with a hitch with a tow rating of up to 2,000 lbs.

We will be putting the Polaris General XP 1000 Factory Custom through its paces in the very near future. In this video, Andre takes a closer look at the 2021 Polaris General XP 1000 Factory Custom and all of its features!
