We recently purchased this 1995 Nissan Pathfinder SE V6 4×4. This one is in excellent overall condition, and it represents some of the best attributes of the 1st-generation Nissan Pathfinder SUVs. On this episode of TFLclassics, Tommy takes it deep into the Rocky Mountains in order to find out exactly how capable it is when the pavement ends and rocky terrain begins. Our Pathfinder takes on the Cliffhanger 1.0 trail.
This Pathfinder is equipped with a very reliable 3.0-liter gas V6 (it produced about 153 horsepower when it was new). While many of these had manual transmissions, this one has a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has body-on-frame construction, a solid rear axle, and an independent front suspension. It has a very capable 4-wheel-drive system and decent ground clearance.
Take a look at the video below to see this old Pathfinder climb the trail like a mountain goat!
