This 1973 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser is in immaculate original condition. FJ40s were (and still are) renowned for their rugged reliability and simplicity. This one features a 3.9L inline-6 engine that was completely rebuilt. We’ve heard rumors that this smaller 125 hp engine is more reliable than the 4.2L power plant spec’d in later models. Being a Toyota, that’s really splitting hairs. The complete frame-off restoration here done 3 years ago makes this FJ pretty much brand new. Whether the winning bidder keeps it as a show piece or uses it to its full capability remains to be seen.
It’s on sales right now at TFLbids.com.
We created TFLbids.com to help all truck and off-road SUV enthusiasts buy and sell their vehicles. These are gently used or classic trucks and SUVs that can move on to the next enthusiast. I sold my 2003 Hummer H2 on TFLbids.com. I am now friends with Mark, who purchased the H2. He took it home to Louisiana, and we often exchange messages. I know that my H2 went to a great home with the new owners.
Nathan Adlen had an opportunity to take a look at this spectacular FJ40 in person. Here is his complete walk-around.
