Ford announces that the new 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor has begun production at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI. The new 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor is currently the most off-road worthy midsize truck that Ford sells in the United States. It first made its debut last year, and we were fortunate to put the latest Tremor off-road truck to the test earlier this month (see below).
Ford says that Ranger Tremor customers can expect to receive their trucks in the coming weeks. It generally takes some time to get inspected, checked, and shipped out.
The new Ranger Tremor gets a mild factory suspension lift, larger all-terrain tires, FOX shocks, and several trim elements such as fender flares and grille inserts. The rest of the chassis and powertrain remains unchanged over a standard Ranger FX4. The engine is a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Tremor package can be added to a crew cab Ranger XLT or Ranger Lariat trim levels. The Tremor package costs $4,290, and it comes in several bright colors.
The Ranger color you see in these images from the plant is called “Cyber Orange“. We took the new 2021 Ranger Tremor and put it up against a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and Jeep Gladiator Rubicon on the Cliffhanger 1.0 mountain trail. Check out the video to see what happens! The Ranger Tremor surprised us.
