Video: This RAM 1500 TRX Costs Almost $100,000 – Here are ALL the Crazy Gadget & Gizmos!

2021 ram trx unique features

We take you on a tour of the monster 2021 RAM 1500 TRX

The RAM 1500 TRX makes 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, thanks to a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8. This simply means that this is the most powerful truck in its class, by far. The supercharger itself is massive, displacing 2.4-liters. Putting the ridiculous power aside, there is a lot more to the TRX. This is a truck that is almost totally unique from a regular Ram 1500 truck. That includes a significantly beefed-up frame, suspension, bodywork, and accessories.

You can read more about the RAM TRX (here).

Tommy is VERY pleased with this truck. Can you blame him?

The RAM 1500 TRX you’re seeing in this video costs over $91,000 – as it is fully loaded. Base models start at $70,095 and (if you can find one at that price) you still get the badass powertrain and off-road capability. This model has everything from a moonroof, top-end seats, carbon-fiber inserts, and top-of-the-line infotainment with a 12-inch screen. It also has the graphics package, tech-package, and bed-mounted spare tire – among other options.

That is still one expensive truck; however, consider what you are getting for the money. If you were to buy your own, brand-new, full-size truck and modify it like this one – you could spend a lot more. Then suspension system alone, (which is fully adjustable on the fly) is complex and pricy.

The armor, body augmentation, frame strengthening, and upgrades would cost a pretty penny too. Finally, there’s the engine: getting that type of power out of a vehicle that can also serve as a (not very efficient) daily driver is no easy task!

We are not directly comparing it against the other off-road beast, the Ford F150 Raptor, this time, but we do mention the Raptor as they have very similar features. If you were cross-shopping these two trucks, we thought it would be a good idea to do a deep dive into the TRX’s options and features.
