American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has revealed some new parts for the ZR2 Bison to make it an even more capable overland rig.
The center piece of this truck, which for now is only a prototype, is the aluminum tray bed built by an Australian company. Using this bed allows for easier access to cargo along with a lighter weight overall, allowing for more cargo to be loaded onto the truck.

The bed also allows for some big 35-inch tires in the rear, though in the front some modifications were necessary to get the big meaty tires to fit. AEV designed new unique fender flares along with a special bumper to make sure the big tires would fit with just the standard two-inch lift that the Colorado ZR2 receives from the factory.
We got a chance to get up close and personal with the Colorado ZR2 Bison Tray Bed at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, so make sure you watch the video above to see the truck and it’s modifications for yourself.
