The 22nd SCORE Desert Challenge in Tijuana is On Right Now!

The SCORE Desert Challenge in Tijuana is getting set for its 22nd running.

Racers take off early in the morning of Saturday, September 22nd, for heat 1, which is comprised of two laps of the 33.7-mile course. Two heats will be run in total by ever class, one on Saturday and the next on Sunday.

Start order was determined by draw, and each class has a specified time in which they must complete the heat. The Pro Moto Unlimited class, generally the fastest to finish these desert races, will take off from the starting line first with a time limit of 2 hours and 50 minutes to complete two loops of the track.

The second group to take off will be the Baja Challenge cars, Pro Truck and Sportsman UTVs. The big boy Trophy Trucks will take off as Group 3, with a time limit of 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete the heat.

Sunday’s race order is identical to Saturday, except that the racers will start in inverted order compared to the first race.

A total of 164 entries have been logged for this year’s race.
