Ken Block Debuts His New Raptor-Powered Wakeboarding Boat

Ken Block has another new toy in his stable, and of course its powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 straight out of the first generation Ford Raptor.

The debut of the boat serves as an announcement that Block now has a working relationship with Marine Products and Supra Boats. His new 2018 Supra SL is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 that has been finessed for marine usage, making a total of 580 lb-ft of torque.

To make it stand out, the SL has a custom wrap on it to match Ken’s 90’s Ford Escort RS Cosworth race car, which also contrasts nicely with the matte black Ford F-450 that pulls it.

“I made the decision earlier this year that I wanted to get myself and my family into the absolute best boat on the water for this summer,” said Block. “We love hitting the local lakes around Park City, as well as heading down to Lake Powell every summer, and now that my kids are getting bigger, they’re really getting into wakeboarding and wake surfing. When doing my research and in speaking with the folks over at Marine Products, Supra came to the top of the list—especially since there’s the option for that supercharged Raptor V8! Plus, I think this boat matches nicely with my matte black Ford F450 that we’re using to haul it this season. I’m really looking forward to getting this thing out there this week and making some waves.”

Of course, the boat has Ken’s number 43 on the side as well, so if you see him on the water, you’re going to have to race.
